1. INTRODUCTION

Research is an ordinary activity for scientists. As a mathematician candidate we must understand about methods a research. Actually, without we realize, we often observe our environment. That is a research, but it does not need a report as our result of research. The real example, we can see at biological majors and chemical majors. Actually, after they finish of research, they must write a report as result of research. But, this is something by students are not liked. In fact, if we follow procedure, we will write report be easy. Because, contents of a report is all steps of research from start to finish. Only, students often delay to writing report.

Writer has hoped in order to this paper can help mathematician candidate to do a research until write a report as result of research. This paper consists of two main points; Steps of research and Process of writing a report as result of a research. Hopefully this paper can help students in solving problems related to research and writing a report.

II. DISCUSSION

In this section of the paper the writer will present the important concept. They are steps the research until write a report. Experimental research is activity of research with aim to assessing influence an action or treatment concerning examination of hypothesis of the action influence if compared with other action. Purpose of perform a research is for checking influence from something given treatment of definite.

According to Marsigit purpose the research of mathematics are to examine and develop mathematics. The nature of mathematics:

• Formal mathematics / axiomatics mathematics / pure mathematics

Example;

· Number theory,

· Group theory,

· Ring theory,

· Field theory,

· Euclidean geometry,

· Non-Euclidean geometry.

• Applied mathematics

Example; if will build house, we can use phytagoras theorem.

• School mathematics / real mathematics

We study to think mathematics, example; pattern / relation ship, problem solving, investigation, communication.

Mathematics is pure science, the study object of mathematic is empirical things (can be felt by the five senses). Mathematics object study is the concept of mind us. Many people question what researched of mathematics? Do find new formula? According to MAA (Mathematical Association of America) marginally there is five categories in research of mathematics, what shortened with PEACE, they are:

• Proof

All research of mathematic needs proof, because mathematics and proof is something is not dissociated.

• Extension

Here we take concept which have there is then we expand and develop it.

• Application

Here we take concept, we application to other science. Generally, at this research to categorized model or formulate problems of real.

• Characterization

Here we can check a mathematics object for looking the character. Besides, we can exploration a mathematics structure which have is for looking for new connectivity of objects it and prove it so that we can find new characters from the structures.

• Existence

Here we can check quality from the mathematics object exist or not.

Steps of research:

a. Preface

In a research need treatment. Treatment is a given condition that will survey influence it. In a research need standard group. Why? Because with standard group, so we can conclude that treatment and process that produce something unfavourable and favourable. Because that a research need least two groups. One group as control group and other group are experimental groups.

b. Prepare research

Some reason must be prepared by a researcher:

· look for problems to research

· choose method as solving problems

· look for theory that relationship to research

· draw a hypothesis

· Take sample at random and choose control group and experimental group

· launch research

c. Factor which controlled

In a research there are some pattern that must be observed a research, they are; factor, variable, and condition. This is to anticipate presence result different research caused method, not other factor. Actually many factor can influence result of a research. Because that, a researcher must carefully in research in order to research can escaped from inhibiting factor.

d. Realization research

After equipment and material of research had completed, we can start realization research. Steps of realization research:

• Choose time to start research

• Avoid inhibiting factor

• Observation all alteration be based guidelines for observation

• After research has finished, given examination

• Then data analysis and description appropriate purpose of research.

If indicate conclusion existence different, had needed inspection for data.

e. Research design

Research design is blueprint step by step depicted, so information which required for solving of problems can are collected factual finished. A research must have answered all questions following.

• What became problems of base until that problem have to be research?

• What drawing up experimental group and control group?

• Is the applied method characteristics?

• What became dependent variable and gauge which are applied?

• What became basic theory from researching?

• How long research will be realization?

• Is analysis method which will be applied?

• What decrease inhibiting factor at researching into?

Question above giving illustration that a design researching is needed more detail causing can become guide when realization research.

f. Research report

Research report is a scientific masterpiece which written after writer do a research, which in its have done experiment or observation to a problem by doing measurement and test. Research report must is written squarely according to what have been done at the research. This activity often is procrastinated and also boring. Research program which structural and completes, systematically will lessen time for write report. Actually, when is researching research, we can start to writing report about introduction chapter, study of theory and study of book and also chapter research method. While result of research and discussion can are written if activity of research and data collecting have been finished. Way provided data can with tables, graphic, scheme, or schema. This is in order that facilitate reader comprehend meaning submitted by a researcher. To compile research report, a researcher must comprehend writing systematic which have been specified.

By using internet, you can also browse about more information around the world to increase and find some great ideas in order to support your working.

In this globalization era, to do something is very easy. We are not difficulty concerning looking for which we require, but is difficult is wish to try. Like the one have been explained in beginning, result report researching into compilation is not very difficult. But we always procrastinate for start.

III. CONCLUSION

All have made available and our only have to exploit it with as good as possible to move forward states and nation. All thats will become better if we know way exploit it. And we have to do with seriousness. Like research report, have to as according to fact happened. So do all which you do with seriousness without compulsion.
